Fiachra Englishby

Fiachra Englishby is from Athboy, Co. Meath and will be 36 the very day he flies to Shanghai. Basketball is Fiachra’s sport. In 2006 he was lucky enough to be chosen on the Leinster Basketball Team for the Games in Belfast, and was very proud coming home with a Gold Medal. Then, of course, the icing on the cake was to be selected on the Team for Shanghai.

He trains every Thursday night at his Special Olympics Club, then he has monthly training sessions with the nine other team members once a month in Dublin, and occasional Residential Weekends, training and socialising with them, so they will all be familiar with each other before they go.
