I am so excited and happy to be here. The weather is sunny and I am really enjoying the food here but some of it tastes a bit funny. Last night the Opening Ceremony was just fantastic – there was green colour everywhere you looked and the Chinese performers were just brilliant. My favourite part was seeing Colin Farrell. I was tired after my long flight here but now I cannot wait for the competition to begin. There will be so many people to cheer me on – lots of Irish volunteers and my family too. I hope I win lots of medals.
