I’m getting a bronze medal and I can’t wait to see my family – this is brilliant it’s a brilliant day.

Quote by Ruth Gribbon from Dundalk who has just won a bronze medal for Ireland at the 2007 Special Olympics World Games in Shanghai. Competing in the bocce competition she lost her first round match to fellow Irish competitor Gary Diamond but went on to take the bronze in an exciting play off game against Amer M. El Makdah from the Lebanon.
