Athlete's Diaries

We all went to the Closing Ceremony last night. It was great to see all the athletes, especially my friends from my club back home who won medals at the Games - we are all really proud of them. There were loads of singing and dancing acts on the stage and the fireworks were brilliant. There were athletes from other countries and we did loads of swapping - I swapped loads of pins and baseball caps and now I have 5 baseball caps to bring home and loads of new pins to show all my friends in my club next week.

The famous singer Jose Carreras was singing - it was really exciting to see him, my mother loves him.

I have done lots of shopping - there are really good bargains and I got presents for my mum and dad and all my family. Today I am going to get a new camera. We will go to the electronic market, we went to the fabric market and the pearl market so far. All my friends did lots of shopping too.

I have made lots of new friends at the Games and have been trying to get all the volunteers to join up with clubs when they go home.
